Product Description The Molechaser is the easiest, most environmentally friendly way to get rid of moles, voles, gophers, shrews and other burrowing rodents. Simply bury the sturdy aluminum Molechhaser in your lawn and rodents will be on their way! Unit produces a penetrating underground sonic impulse that irritates rodents and motivates them to move to a quieter area.
Amazon.com Review The P3 International P7900 Sonic Molechaser makes moles scram by emitting a penetrating sound that sets the rodents' sensitive hearing on edge. Operating in a circular pattern of 120 feet, the Molechaser also chases off ground squirrels, shrews, voles, pocket mice, and gophers. It won't harm the rodents or your earthworms or your pets; it won't even harm your lawnmower, because you can bury it flush with the ground. At 1-3/4 inches in diameter and 16 inches long, the stout aluminum Sonic Molechaser doesn't require an excavation of your garden. Plus, you can replace the four D-cell batteries--approximately once every 4 to 6 months--without digging it up. The Molechaser gives off 300 Hz of sound at 15-second intervals and works best in unobstructed, moist clay soil. If soil is dry, sandy, or peat soil, you may need a couple of Molechasers to get rid of moles for good. --Emily Bedard

It Works! June 4, 2010 Richard E. Howell (Texas) Before I bought the Sonic Mole Chaser, my Dachshund was digging up my back yard chasing moles. Almost immediately after installation, the digging stopped. This product works!
Hallway and the Mole Chaser May 10, 2010 Walter W. Lichtfuss I am at this point very pleased with the Mole Chaser. I put it in the ground and have no more moles. My neighbor also had problems big time with moles and he bought two mole chasers and now in a few days no more moles.
Good show November 7, 2009 Bill C. Clark (Oklahoma) So far so good, installed two of these mole chasers, tamped down all the old runs and NO evidence of new mole activity in 10 days.
P7900 mole chaser works well February 12, 2009 organic gardener (USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The P3 7900 works the best. The sound bothers the gophers, but doesn't bother me. (unlike the plastic ones that have a very clear and annoying sound to me)
If you install the P3 7900 per directions it works well.
After installing it, pack down the dirt well around it. Then find and cave in all the surrounding gopher tunnels and pockets. This way the sound from the chaser will travel well through the soil.
Then, as per directions, I leave it alone for 10 days. During that time the gophers tunnel up to it to try to remove it. It obviously bothers them. They do NOT settle into the area of the sound.
After the 10 days, I cave in and pack down the soil from the tunnel the gopher made to investigate the chaser.
The gardens are doing well since I installed the chasers. I can now easily see if/when a gopher passes through and can quickly stamp down that single tunnel. Rather than being overwhelmed by a "Caddy Shack" maze of tunnels and pockets each day.
Its worth the investment.
